Product introduction: CLARIANT provides clay products developed for a variety of BTX aromatic products, which can ensure that the treated aromatic products meet the corresponding bromine index or pickling color requirements. In addition to the TONSIL®CO series products that are very popular in the market, CLARIANT also provides a new TONSIL®APT series. Through this technological innovation, the catalyst activity is higher and the processing capacity is significantly enhanced.

Product performance: TONSIL®​ series clay catalysts have high specific surface area and high pore volume, which can effectively reduce the occurrence of side reactions. The rich product line can meet customers' requirements for product activity and selectivity. TONSIL®CO has long-term experience with different raw materials all over the world. Even for heavy and impurity-containing raw materials, it has a good service life; it reduces the number of driving and stopping; and the high selectivity reduces the dealkylation reaction. TONSIL®APT (columnar) does not require a quartz sand layer during filling, which simplifies the filling process; high bulk density; longer service life; effectively reduces the pressure difference; lower operating costs.

Industry application: Aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene, xylene (BTX), etc. are produced through a highly integrated process. The TONSIL® series of special clay catalysts provided by CLARIANT can be applied to the current mainstream Axens and UOP aromatic compound plants to increase production, reduce by-products, and extend the life of downstream catalyst systems.
